             Required Text:

             Required Supplies:

            All items available at the UIC Medical Bookstore

1.      Dissection kit (Basic instruments):

 Including one 5” or 6” long rat-toothed tissue forceps.

*If not included in kit (see p. 1 of Grant’s Dissector for description), delay purchase of kit until after first plenary; only 2 kits will be group-purchased by each table.

2.      Hospital-style scrubs or old clothes or a long lab coat or a plastic/rubber apron over street clothes.

3.      Full-cover shoes e.g. athletic or leather

*No sandals or open-toed shoes.

4.      Laboratory gloves (latex or vinyl-some persons are allergic to latex)

5.      Extra scalpel blades (for #3 scalpel: #10 blades; for #4 scalpel: #20-22 blades)

6.      Clipboard (for use as writing surface during lab exams)

7.      Padlock or combination lock for locker

(In addition to a personal copy, the eight students at each dissection table should plan on collectively purchasing one atlas & the one dissection guide for exclusive use in the lab- defer purchases until after first plenary session, when details will be discussed.)
