At University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), we are proud to provide residents with a well-rounded training experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. At the end of residency, our residents are prepared well for a variety of career options ranging from academic subspecialty fellowships to general pediatrics.
The UIC faculty is comprised of committed educators and clinicians who teach residents in the clinics, and at the bedside of patients at the University of Illinois Medical Center. We are proud of the reputation of our faculty, which includes many who are well-known experts in their fields along with several fresh new faces to UIC. These dedicated physicians are mentors for residents clinically, in their research efforts, and in career counseling.
In 2008, 100% of our 2008 graduates from the residency program passed the American Board of Pediatrics certifying examination, a testament to the strong board preparation curriculum we offer at UIC.
