UIC is pleased to offer a full range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and malpractice insurance for our UIC Pediatric Housestaff.
Furthermore, UIC is home to six health science colleges—dentistry, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, public health, and applied sciences. Residents who would like to enroll in courses at any of these colleges may take advantage of the tuition fee waiver offered to all employees.
A $600 stipend is offered to residents annually to offset educational expenses including journal subscriptions and conference attendance. Four weeks of vacation per year are provided, in addition to four days off during either the Christmas or New Year’s Day holidays.

PGY-1: $45,420
PGY-2: $47,400
PGY-3: $49,500
