College of Medicine Conference & Study Rooms

NOTE:  The College of Medicine West (CMW) study and conference rooms on floors 2, 3 and 4 are temporarily UNAVAILABLE due to the renovations of the educational space on floors 2, 3 and 4.

Health Science Library: (available on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved at the library service desk)

-2 Smart Rooms: 203, 204
-2 Seminar Rooms: 303, 304

Students also have access to the Faculty, Student and Alumni Lounge for study when not in use for university functions.  Students have open access 24/7 but must use their prox card to gain access outside of regular business hours.

Listed below are the rooms in the College of Medicine (COM) that are available for reservation.  Students are allowed to use most of the rooms listed provided they are not in use for other purposes.  Read the Student Room Use Agreement for policies regarding COM room use.  By making a room reservation you are agreeing to abide by the terms in the Student Study Room Agreement.  Click here for Room Reservation Procedures.

College of Medicine East (CME)

 367 Seats up to 40 people. Medium-sized seminar room with UIC Wireless, 2 new projectors and projection screens, built in PC, ability to connect a laptop.  Room has a white board, and heat and air conditioning. Tends to be hot in winter, cold in summer.  This room also has video conference capability.


College of Medicine Research Building (COMRB)

The entire building is served by UIC Wireless. 

Small Rooms:  available 24 hours a day

  • seat 10-12 people and have one conference table
  • programmed to remain at approx 72F year round, but can be adjusted 2 degrees up and down
  • has a white board, an LCD panel and cables to which you can connect a laptop and a projection screen for use with a portable projector you can bring. 

Large Rooms:  currently available 8:30am-5:00pm M-F

  • seat 25-50 people and have 4 conference tables
  • programmed to remain at approx 72F year round, but can be adjusted 2 degrees up and down
  • has a white board, an LCD panel and cables to which you can connect a laptop and a projection screen for use with a portable projector you can bring.

Moss Auditorium - 1020 COMRB

  • The auditorium seats 150 - it is reserved for large group courses and plenaries
  • It has significant AV capabilities, including
    -- LCD and 35mm slide projectors and projection screens
    -- Built in Mac, PC, DVD player, VCR, Overhead visualizer
    -- ability to connect your own laptop
    -- Wireless "clip on" and wired "stand" microphones

 

Eye and Ear Infirmary (EEI)

Auditorium 1.17

  • The auditorium seats 200 - it is reserved for large group courses and plenaries
  • It has significant AV capabilities, including
    -- LCD projector and projection screen
    -- Built in Mac, PC, Document camera
    -- ability to connect your own laptop
    -- Wireless "clip on" and wired "stand" microphones

 

Medical Sciences Building(MSB)

505 MSB (5th floor labs)

  • The labs are not available for student study reservations, however students may use them for study whenever they are not being used for another purpose. Access is by prox card.
